It is kind of nice and puzzling at the same time to go through all your possessions that you collect over a lifetime of land locked living. It always seems as though you find something new every time you look in the same closet. Some items bring back fond memories and sometimes you’re left asking yourself why you ever purchased that never used winter coat or Thighmaster in the first place.
Lisa and I are expecting one more move while I’m still in the military. When the time gets closer to retire, we’ll have an estate sale where we’ll get rid of almost everything else to include furniture, cars, motorcycles, homes and anything not sailing related. We will be keeping some sentimental items along with some furniture for when, and if we tire of sailing. We expect to keep our bedroom set, grandfather clock and I’m sure we’ll have boxes of photo albums, china and knick knacks that have been in the family for generations. We’ll pack up what we plan on keeping and put it in storage while we’re off seeing the world. Now we have 5 empty Husky tool boxes for storage. It’s a win, win.
